Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 mini croissants
  • 4 slices smoked cheddar cheese (or regular cheddar), halved
  • 3/4 pound deli-cut ham
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 2 tablespoons yellow mustard
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 to 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 large egg white

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a baking dish.
  2. Slice each croissant in half horizontally. On the bottom half, layer half a slice of cheese, a slice of ham, and another half slice of cheese. Place the top half over the fillings.
  3. In a small bowl, mix softened butter, mustard, honey, and Worcestershire sauce until smooth.
  4. Spread the butter mixture on the inside of each assembled croissant sandwich.
  5. Arrange the sandwiches in the greased baking dish.
  6. Whisk together the egg white with a splash of water and brush it over each croissant; sprinkle with poppy seeds.
  7. Bake for about 15-18 minutes until cheese is melted and tops are golden brown.
  8. Serve warm for the best flavor.
