Ingredients
- 1 lb smoked sausage, thinly sliced
- 2 lbs potatoes, diced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 packet ranch dressing mix
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1 onion, diced
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Brown the sliced sausage in a large skillet over medium heat; set aside.
- In the same skillet, sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
- In a mixing bowl, combine diced potatoes, cooked sausage, sautéed onion and garlic, cheese, ranch mix, milk, melted butter, salt, and pepper.
- Transfer mixture to a greased baking dish and spread evenly.
- Cover with foil and bake for 60 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden brown.
- Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
