  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 pound chicken breast, diced
  • 2 cups cabbage, chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 carrot, julienned
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp oyster sauce (optional)
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Marinate diced chicken with soy sauce, sesame oil, and black pepper for 10–15 minutes.
  2. In another bowl, whisk together remaining soy sauce, oyster sauce (if using), black pepper, salt, crushed red pepper flakes (if using), and cornstarch slurry.
  3. Heat butter in a skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add marinated chicken and stir-fry until golden brown (4–5 minutes). Remove from skillet.
  4. Sauté onion and garlic in the same pan until fragrant (2 minutes).
  5. Add cabbage, bell pepper, and carrot; stir-fry until tender but crisp (5–6 minutes).
  6. Return chicken to the skillet along with the prepared sauce; cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.
  7. Adjust seasoning as needed before serving hot.
