Description

This Chicken Cheesesteak Skillet is a quick and delicious twist on the iconic Philly cheesesteak, perfect for busy weeknights.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 yellow onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 red bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • 1 green bell pepper, thinly sliced
  • pounds boneless skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced
  • 1½ teaspoons Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon smoked paprika
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • Fresh parsley for garnish

Instructions

  1. Heat 1 tablespoon of olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sauté the onion and bell peppers until soft (about 6–8 minutes). Set aside.
  2. Add the remaining olive oil to the skillet. Cook the sliced chicken with Italian seasoning and smoked paprika for about 5–7 minutes until fully cooked.
  3. Return the sautéed veggies to the skillet and mix well with the chicken. Top with shredded provolone cheese and cover until melted (about 2 minutes).
  4. Serve warm as is or alongside hoagie rolls, rice, or greens.
