  • 1 pound boneless skinless chicken breasts
  • 7-ounce container plain Greek yogurt
  • 15-ounce can tomato sauce
  • 1.5 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 4 teaspoons garam masala
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 5 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon table salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground cayenne

Instructions

  1. Marinate the chicken by mixing yogurt, garam masala, lemon juice, black pepper, and ginger in a large bowl. Add chicken chunks and coat well. Cover and refrigerate for at least 1 hour.
  2. Heat a nonstick pan over high heat and sear half of the marinated chicken until golden brown on all sides. Set aside and repeat with remaining chicken.
  3. In the same pan, combine tomato sauce, cream, garlic, garam masala, paprika, salt, and cayenne. Add seared chicken and let simmer for about 20 minutes until thickened.
