  • 1 cup finely chopped nuts (pecans or walnuts) (optional)
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in the vanilla extract.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gradually add this dry mixture to the butter mixture until just combined.
  4. Stir in the optional nuts and chocolate chips until evenly distributed.
  5. Scoop tablespoon-sized portions of dough, roll them into balls, and place them on the prepared baking sheets.
