  • 16 slices Swiss cheese
  • ½ lb thinly sliced ham
  • Peanut or vegetable oil (for frying)
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 4 beaten eggs
  • 2 cups panko breadcrumbs
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 2 cups milk
  • ¼ cup Dijon mustard
  • 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Season chicken with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Pound to about ½ inch thick.
  2. Layer Swiss cheese and ham on each breast, then roll tightly and refrigerate for 30 minutes.
  3. Preheat oil in a deep pan to 325°F (170°C). Dredge rolls in flour, egg, and breadcrumbs.
  4. Fry each roll for about 5 minutes per side until golden brown. Ensure internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
  5. For the sauce, melt butter, sauté garlic, whisk in flour, then add milk gradually until thickened. Stir in mustard and Parmesan before removing from heat.
