  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes
  • 1 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1-inch piece of ginger, grated
  • 1 head of cabbage, thinly sliced (about 8 cups)
  • 1/2 cup shredded carrot
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Green onion slices
  • Sesame seeds

Instructions

  1. In a small bowl, whisk together ½ cup coconut aminos, 1 tbsp rice vinegar, 2 tsp sesame oil, and ½ tsp crushed red pepper flakes; set aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp avocado oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add 1 chopped onion; sauté until translucent (about 5 minutes).
  3. Stir in 4 minced garlic cloves and 1-inch grated ginger; cook for about 1 minute until fragrant.
  4. Add 1 lb ground beef; break it up with a wooden spoon and cook until browned (about 5 minutes).
  5. Mix in 8 cups thinly sliced cabbage and ½ cup shredded carrots along with the prepared sauce; cook until cabbage wilts (approximately 5 minutes).
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste and serve warm with garnishes like green onions and sesame seeds.
