  • 40 g butter (for dough)
  • 25 g butter (for filling)
  • 8 g salt
  • 50 g fine semolina
  • 450 g steak
  • 5 g salt
  • 3 g cayenne powder
  • 3 g red bell pepper powder
  • 3 g onion powder
  • 2 g garlic powder
  • 1 g dried parsley
  • 80 g red onion
  • 75 g red bell pepper

Instructions

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine lukewarm milk, yeast, and honey; mix until combined.
  2. Add in flour, beaten egg, butter, and salt; knead for 10-12 minutes until smooth.
  3. Cover the dough and let it rise in a warm place for about an hour until doubled.
  4. Gently deflate the dough and divide into 16 pieces; shape each into a ball.
  5. Stack two pieces together, flatten slightly, and coat with fine semolina.
  6. Allow the dough to rise again for about 30 minutes on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  7. Preheat a heavy-bottomed skillet over medium heat; bake the rolls until golden brown on both sides.
  8. For the filling, sauté beef with spices until browned; add onions and peppers until softened. Top with cheese to melt.
