- 2 large boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- ¾ cup dry white wine (or chicken broth)
- 1¾ cups chicken broth
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 3 tablespoons butter
- Olive oil for searing
- Fresh parsley for garnish
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon mustard powder
- 1 teaspoon honey
- ½ chicken bouillon cube
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- ½ teaspoon oregano
- ½ teaspoon basil
- ½ teaspoon parsley
Instructions
- Slice each chicken breast in half lengthwise and pound to a uniform thickness of ½ inch. Season with salt, pepper, and parsley.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken cutlets for 4–5 minutes on each side until golden brown; remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, pour in white wine to deglaze, scraping up browned bits from the bottom. Simmer until reduced by half.
- Stir in minced garlic and cook for an additional 2–3 minutes.
- Add butter and flour; cook briefly before gradually pouring in the sauce mixture (chicken broth, heavy cream, Worcestershire sauce, mustard powder, honey, bouillon cube, onion powder, oregano, basil, and parsley). Bring to a boil then simmer until thickened.
- Lower heat and stir in Parmesan cheese until melted. Add lemon juice.
- Return chicken to the skillet and coat with the sauce; heat for another 5 minutes.
- Garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
