- 2 tablespoons tomato paste
- 2 cans (14 oz / 400 g each) crushed tomatoes
- 1½ lb (900 g) gnocchi

Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add onion, carrot, and celery; cook for 8–10 minutes until softened.
- Stir in garlic and ground beef; cook until browned, breaking up meat with a spoon.
- Pour in red wine and simmer for 1–2 minutes before adding tomato paste and herbs.
- Stir in crushed tomatoes and let simmer uncovered for about 15 minutes.
- Cook gnocchi in boiling salted water until they float; drain well.
- Combine cooked gnocchi with the sauce, mixing in grated Parmesan before serving.
