- 3 cups broccoli florets

- 1 red bell pepper, sliced

- 2 tablespoons cornstarch
- 2 tablespoons cold water
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
- 1–2 tablespoons honey
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1 teaspoon toasted sesame oil
- Salt and white pepper, to taste
- 3 cups cooked rice (any kind)
Instructions
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with cold water. In another bowl, whisk together beef broth, soy sauce, brown sugar, minced garlic, ground ginger, and sesame oil.
- Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over medium heat. Add broccoli; cook for about 4-5 minutes until slightly softened. Remove and set aside.
- In the same skillet, cook ground beef and diced onion over medium-high heat until browned. Drain excess grease if necessary.
- Add sliced bell pepper and cook briefly before pouring in the prepared sauce. Bring to a boil and simmer for 2-3 minutes.
- Stir in the cornstarch mixture until thickened; then return broccoli to the skillet and combine. Serve hot over cooked rice.
