  • ¼ cup soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • 1 cup water (divided)
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger (grated)
  • 3 cups broccoli florets
  • 1 cup shredded carrots
  • Sesame oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare the teriyaki sauce by combining soy sauce, garlic, ginger, honey, brown sugar, and ¾ cup water in a small saucepan over medium heat. Bring to a low boil.
  2. In a separate bowl, whisk together the remaining water and corn starch until dissolved. Stir this into the saucepan until thickened. Remove from heat and add orange zest.
  3. Heat sesame oil in a wok over medium-high heat. Sauté diced onion for 2-3 minutes until soft.
  4. Add ground turkey and cook until fully cooked through (about 7-10 minutes). Incorporate broccoli and carrots; cook for another 5-7 minutes.
  5. Pour teriyaki sauce over the stir fry and stir to coat evenly before serving.
