  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 45 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 ½ cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • ½ cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • ½ cup beef broth or water

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  2. In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and brown the ground beef (5-7 minutes). Drain excess fat, then add onion and garlic; cook until softened.
  3. In the baking dish, layer the beef mixture on the bottom, followed by sliced potatoes. Season with salt, pepper, Italian seasoning, and sprinkle both cheeses on top. Pour broth around the edges.
  4. Cover with foil and bake for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake for an additional 15-20 minutes until potatoes are tender and cheese is bubbly.
