  • 1 Honeycrisp apple
  • 1 large bunch broccoli (or 12-ounce bag of prepared florets)
  • 1/2 cup chopped red onion
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup sunflower seeds
  • 4 slices bacon (optional)
  • For the dressing: plain yogurt
  • milk
  • apple cider vinegar
  • sugar or honey

Instructions

  1. In a mason jar or small bowl, whisk together yogurt, milk, apple cider vinegar, sugar or honey, salt, and pepper until smooth. Refrigerate.
  2. In a large mixing bowl, combine chopped apple, broccoli florets, red onion, raisins, and sunflower seeds. Toss well.
  3. Pour the dressing over the salad mixture and gently toss to coat.
  4. Chill in the refrigerator for 30–60 minutes before serving.
  5. Just before serving, sprinkle with crumbled bacon if desired.
