- ½ cup unsalted butter (for frosting)
- 3½ cups confectioners’ sugar
- 1 tablespoon heavy cream
- 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract (for frosting)

Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (177°C). Grease three 8-inch round cake pans and line bottoms with parchment paper.
- In a mixer, cream together softened butter and sugars until light. Add eggs and vanilla; mix well.
- In another bowl, whisk flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually add to wet mixture along with buttermilk, lemon zest, and juice. Mix until just combined.
- Toss blueberries in flour to prevent sinking and gently fold into batter.
- Divide batter among prepared pans and bake for 22–26 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean. Cool completely.
- For frosting, beat cream cheese and butter until smooth; add confectioners’ sugar, cream, vanilla, and salt until fluffy.
