With just a handful of simple ingredients, you can create these cheesy bites that will impress everyone at your table. Ingredients

Scale
  • 16 string cheese (cut in half crosswise)
  • 1/3 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups Italian style breadcrumbs
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 teaspoons milk
  • Oil for frying
  • 2 tablespoons chopped parsley (for garnish)
  • 1 cup marinara sauce (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Prepare three bowls: one with flour, one with seasoned breadcrumbs, and the last with beaten eggs and milk.
  2. Coat each cheese stick first in flour, then egg mixture, followed by breadcrumbs. Repeat the egg and breadcrumb coating for extra crispiness.
  3. Freeze the coated sticks for at least 2 hours until solid.
  4. Heat oil in a deep pot to 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry the cheese sticks in small batches for about 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  6. Drain on paper towels and garnish with parsley before serving with marinara sauce.
