  • 8 oz butter

  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 7 cups powdered sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour three 8-inch cake pans.
  2. In a bowl, mix together pumpkin puree, sugar, eggs, and oil until smooth.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, baking soda, spices, and salt.
  4. Gradually combine wet and dry ingredients until just mixed.
  5. Divide batter evenly among prepared pans and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Let cakes cool completely before frosting with cream cheese frosting and drizzling with salted caramel.
