  3. Spoon the batter over the melted butter without mixing. Sprinkle brown sugar on top and pour hot water carefully over everything—do not stir.
  4. Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until golden brown on top.
  5. For the topping, mix sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl and sprinkle over the cobbler immediately after removing it from the oven.
