Description

Balsamic Glazed Salmon is a delightful dish that combines the rich flavors of a sweet and tangy balsamic reduction with tender salmon fillets. This recipe is perfect for busy weeknights or special gatherings, as it can be prepared in just 30 minutes. The balsamic glaze, enhanced with garlic and rosemary, brings sophistication to this simple dish, making it an impressive centerpiece for any dinner table. Serve it alongside seasonal vegetables or a fresh salad for a complete and nutritious meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 (6 oz) salmon fillets, skinless or skin-on
  • ½ cup balsamic vinegar
  • ¼ cup white wine or low-sodium chicken broth
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
  • 1 rosemary sprig (about 7 inches long)
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • Salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste
  • 2 teaspoons olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped

Instructions

  1. Let the salmon rest at room temperature for 10–15 minutes.
  2. In a medium saucepan, combine balsamic vinegar, white wine (or broth), honey, Dijon mustard, rosemary sprig, and minced garlic. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
  3. Reduce heat to medium-low and simmer until thickened (10–15 minutes). Strain into a heatproof bowl.
  4. Season salmon with salt and pepper. Heat olive oil in a non-stick skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. Sear the salmon fillets for 3–4 minutes on one side until browned, then flip and cook for another 2–3 minutes until cooked through.
  6. Serve warm drizzled with balsamic glaze.
